The Artist - Movie Review (2011)

Strarring: Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo.

The artist is a Romantic comedy drama presented in black-and-white silent film. Basically the plot revolves around a big shot silent film actor named George valentine and it basically shows what it was like in the 1920s to be in the film industry and also talks about the character named peppy Miller who shares a romantic interest with the big shot actor.

Being a silent film you would expect that, this film cannot be that amusing or is plain boring but this film delivers like no other movie mainly because of the wonderful acting by both these French actors and amazing soundtrack playing in the background throughout the film.

This Film also works because of a fresh idea and when the characters are on screen , you care for them, you admire them right from the beginning and there are a lot of scenes which just bring a smile to your face and this movie brings good change to viewers. The costumes, set design, photography music are all top notch.

This is a film that can be enjoyed with family and i say if you are a mainstream lover and not into art films, give this one a try.
4.5/5
